meet baby e and family

I was in heaven holding this baby girl! REALLY made me want one so my Miss M could have a sister. Isn’t she the cutest little thing? And it doesn’t hurt that her mom and I were best friends starting in the 3rd grade and throughout high school and college. Now they live in another city, but we have stayed in touch and can always seem to pick up just where we left off. It was such an honor to have them drive in for the shoot and take their first set of formal family photos. They were so many precious images!

Even grandma popped in for some! Baby E is so very blessed to have her grandma take care of her every day:)

And yes, for the record, mom has ALWAYS had a head of “Pantene” hair like this. Isn’t it amazing and beautiful? I think baby E is going to be just as lucky judging from her “do” at just 4 months of age:)

sweet moments with the s family…

The leaves were the secret magic of this session – kids were in heaven! And as many times as I have had the privilege of shooting this adorable family, I think this porch shot is my new favorite – so carefree and fun and full of natural smiles for everyone!

and they’re off….

I loved that these boys brought their dog along to their session! Isn’t he just a beautiful animal? This first one was my favorite shot from their session…and as for the boys, they are always stellar for the camera and give me a variety of expressions, including G’s signature break-dancing moves he busted out for me in the middle of the dirt!!

This session was super special because this is no random old car – it belongs to her Grandaddy and it is his original blue ’57 Chevy. He dated his wife in this car and drove it to Texas all the way from California and he still rides around town in it today. Miss C took to the car like any princess would – dancing to music, talking on the phone (or Ipod!), taking over the driver’s seat and waving and blowing kisses out the window.

Maggie - how cute is she. i especially love the black and white picture, beautiful!

If you think you have your hands full, try 3 kiddos all 4 and under:) I’ve got 3 of my own that are ages 5 and under, but this sweet friend of mine has me beat. Life is a circus, but a fun one at that, and we have been blessed to be great friends with this family since college. We even all had a giant family sleepover for New Year’s Eve with 10 kids running around all under the age of 5.  This year was epic because they actually entertained themselves for the most part!

I fell in love with this boy and his eyes. It was a cold and overcast, windy day but the little guy was such a champ and held his head up strong!
