These rock stars are some of the biggest inspiration for my work, and they are always the inspiration for our annual Christmas card. With their inherited Daddy’s love of music, an ingenious wit for memorizing all song titles and artists, a love of daily dance parties around the coffee table and Ipod, and an introduction to a “real” record player this year along with receiving their first record albums of their own, they made it easy on me. I had this vision planted long ago.

This may not be your idea of a Christmas card, but it is exactly mine. As you can read up here, our card is a present I give myself. This represents some of our greatest memories from the year and one of our favorite family traditions of 2012 – family dance parties. While perhaps a bit nontraditional, this card completely sums up our children and we hoped that it would bring smiles to faces and maybe even make some memories for others as we shared just a few of our favorite songs of the year.
Special, SPECIAL thanks go out to one of my great friends and partners, Jill of Stamped Paper Co., for another amazing collaboration to bring this card to life. You may recall some of her previous work for us here and here, and even with former Bachelorette Trista Sutter here, but she truly outdid herself this year with our card, which had its own WEBSITE! Seriously???. Truth is it was WAY cheaper (and cooler!) to do that than mail out CD’s. And sharing the music with you all was a huge component!! You MUST go check out rockinwiththedarsts.com to see MORE – from LIVE MUSIC, to a fan page, clever tour dates and more, she really brought our ideas to a whole other level! It has been SO fun to receive all the fan mail and hear how much it has meant to people or how their kids have been dancing to new tunes.
So here you have it – the rest of our card followed by a few screen grabs of our website – enjoy and have a ROCKIN 2013!!
