this is the little beach boy bump i threw a shower for back in june:) he is going to be greeted by big bro mr.s who already has a huge heart and amount of love for him!! he was full of so many priceless expressions. i think my favorite shot though is this first one – love him reaching for baby bro, as if to give a hug, and then the worn dinosaur temporary tatoo just tops it off! what better way to capture the spirit of a little 3-year old boy and all the many things he will introduce lil bro to:)

life has been such the whirlwind lately! i have been traveling way more than i typically do and then throw in miss m’s 2nd birthday, a couple school projects for the kids (yes, can you believe at such a small age!) plus a new and huge project i’ve been working on and finally the usual insanity = sooo much to blog about! i will try to catch up slowly….

i will also be unveiling an exciting secret to on saturday!! you must come back to check the blog and see what is all about. there will be an exciting givewaway involved!!! and then, i will finally be able to share the mountain of photos from the my vintage baby catalog shoot that i have been dying to post! so many incredible models and outfits. the line formally launches august 1st so i will be releasing a collection at a time so you can all take part!!

i will be traveling on business with limited access to email and voicemail from sunday, 7/18 through wednesday, 7/21. i will respond to all emails and messages as soon as possible when i return to the office on thursday. there are going to be a lot of exciting updates to share related to this trip – stay tuned in the coming weeks!

gwen van blerk - We were watching the woman tell all on th batchelor with jason and they featured a clip on trista and ryan so I had to see how they doing. you will never believe who i got to photograph????!!!!!

rewind back to my life in 2003 – i was living in dallas with my bff lisa and engaged to derek, and we, among with several other great friends in our apartment complex, were avid followers of the bachelorette:) it was a weekly event. trista was the leading lady that season and i had long picked ryan as “the one.” now fast forward to 2010 and who would have ever thought i would have the chance to photograph their family??!! sooooo crazy FUN!!

trista has teamed up with my vintage baby as of this fall 2010 to design a line of clothing. Her collection for My Vintage Baby is called “Winter Rose” and her sweet baby girl, Miss Blakesly, is sporting one of the pieces below. Max is also showing off a super cool shirt as part of the boy collection that I will certainly be buying for Mr. D!  A portion of the proceeds from Trista’s collection will be donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Presales will begin August 1st.

so since trista’s partnerned with MVB and i am doing their catalog shoot, i had the incredible opportunity to fly out to CO and take their family photos for the catalog. it was such a fun adventure…all started with finding and securing this dang red couch i was dead set on having. gotta love craigs list and the sweetest lady we found to complete my vision! good thing trista was up for anything since we dragged this thing out to her friends’ ranch to find the perfect spot for these images.

the sutter family was super fun, and truly, i felt right at home with Blakesly and Max because they are literally JUST like my 2 kids. Max is more reserved and all it takes is 10 minutes with him in front of the camera to score a hundred killer shots of a pair of gorgeous eyes. He has the look! And then little Miss Blakesly is so full of expressions and all over the place – a ball of energy and fun and giggles….so like my Miss M!!
