dora and diego birthday party part 2: the people

as i once heard, color is how it looks but black and white is how it feels. so here’s my slice of life approach to the big day – hopefully you can feel all that was going on!

we had a surprise visit from dora. this was even a surprise to me! we have a great group of friends who pooled together to give this as a gift to the kids. she was the finishing touch to the party, complete with her backpack full of maps and goodies for the kids!

here is the birthday boy eating his beloved chocolate chip cookies. we talked about the birthday party everyday for a week leading up to the big day, and mr. d made sure to eat every single bit of the food we promised him:)

here are the birthday boy and girl – outfits by my vintage baby!

below is where you can start to see the shift in miss m’s eyes. when mr. d looks at this photo, he says outloud, “m, what’s wrong?” ha, ha. she was not feeling well here.  thankfully we made it through the bulk of the party before her fever set in. we are still battling this awful virus!!!

thanks to my mom and katie who actually manned the photos that i am in so i could feel like a real mom on this day and not just a photographer;)

Michelle - Such a fun and special day! Evrything was perfect! Tons of fun! You, your mom, and derek did a fantastic job!
That is so true about the b/w pics. I have never heard that bfore but totally get that!!!!
I hope your little ones are feeling better! :(
