my mr. d starts kindergarten tomorrow. i’m staring at these images of him, which i shot back in june specifically for another project – his love of geography and travel/navigation inspired this vision – and now i’m looking at the photos and realizing they could not be any more perfect for this very moment. the night before kindergarten. he is my oldest, the first for us to let fly out into the world, and while there is a flood of emotions that comes with all of this, i am honestly so excited for him. he has the whole world in his hands…
i want him to know the sky has no limit….
….and that he can be anything. do anything….
….that his daddy and i will be right there beside him to help each and every dream come true…..
i want him to fly high – to try new things, to welcome change and newness and know that it leads to great opportunities and so much more than he could ever dream or imagine….
we can’t wait to watch the places you’ll go. we pray this year will give you the foundation to tackle the world in the way we already know that you can. we pray for amazing teachers that will help you soar, strong and true friends to be the wind in your wings, and opportunities for you to shine and recognize your gifts. we can’t to see how god is going to use you in this world and we love you so very much.
