where do i begin with this shoot? just browse through these photos and tell me if you are not in love before you make it to the bottom of the post. her lips, her hair, her sweet little belly button cord, her smile – i was in heaven! to top that off, she was amazingly cooperative and an overall dream to photograph. i love you miss b!!
her room is going to be black and brown zebra with red accents, so we had a lot of incorporating that look and feel in the session.
two trade secrets to share…
- i was once told one of the top secrets to great newborn photography is a space heater and a beanbag, but i will now make my own personal addition thanks to miss b’s mama – a blowdryer!! It is the icing on the cake! literally, everytime she blew miss b, we would get this smile like what you see below!! plus, i think miss b liked the hum of the dyer and it is easier to hold up for those certain shots that the space heater just can’t warm.
- i have been dying to capture a shot like the first below. i want to formally note that this pose has not been photoshopped!! this baby actually posed liked this…for real!! no pasting a series of 2 shots together with mom holding the head up in one and the elbows up in another. i wish i had one of my angel babies like this!
