cupcakes & cocktails studio event

i realize valentine’s day is around the corner, and here i go posting about a holiday event, but there was no way i could let blogging this slip away from me! we had such a great time and so many incredible vendors that i needed to be sure and give a shout out to everyone.

these were our signature rudolph cupcakes – dress up a basic vanilla cupcake and white frosting with reindeer antlers (traced and cut from cardstock), a red glitter bead for a nose (we used holiday berries from the floral section) and these adorable and affordable cupcake collars only $3 for 24!!

big thanks to our two headliners – deep eddy vodka and elegant cakery in southlake for donating our “cupcakes” and “cocktails.” they made our event come to life, literally, and they went above and beyond! we had to go pick up a second wave of cupcakes and we cleared our 3 batches of cocktails, so again, it was a great party!! deep eddy even donated these branded mason jars as takeaways, and it was such an adorable touch.

another special thanks to our vendors, who brought the goods that brought the people. i am still loving the fun clothes i picked up from caviar cowgirl, baby meshach and the great accessories from the niche chick. i had a little miss poppy display up, sedo was giving away amazing specials and we also had tables by stella and dot, obagi, vintage couture and mod camera straps and more!

my mom flew up to bring the cupcakes and cocktails holiday tablescape to life. you might remember reading up on how she crafted the concept up here… and how we used this for inspiration to put on our studio holiday event! and that’s really another whole focus of the entire event – we wanted to inspire people for their holiday entertaining whether it was holiday cocktail recipes, or how to wrap your presents better, how to put together a holiday table (and better yet, on a budget) or how to dress up your cupcakes with party printables and cupcake collars. all of the things on the table below are so affordable – things like damask paper plates for chargers, cupcake collars, printables from the tomkat studio, plastic plates from target, the tree and ornaments from hobby lobby and walmart, etc. – you don’t have to spend big bucks to get big looks!

stamped paper co designed our logo and flyer…

thanks to those of you that came and supported us and to those of you who donated your time and efforts to volunteer to help set-up or man stations. it was a giant team effort and we had a blast. looking forward to lots more of these in 2012.
