meet kate the great…and fam

last time i saw this family was here, and this was my first time get to photograph little miss k, affectionately known as “kate the great.” the little sprout on top of her head is a perfect complement to her name and personality:) you could not meet a happier, sweeter, more chill baby girl than this one, and i have been looking forward to photographing her for weeks now! we got off to a crazy start, and i think this first family shot sums up those moments so well – big bro mr. c, stick in hand, thinking twice about me and all my silly questions and noises and moves….then dad just laughing it off, because really, what else can you do…mom with a big grin on her face, recalling all that she threw into the preparations of getting her family all prettied up for this moment and recognizing there’s nothing more that can be done now, even if she did have to wash off a bad makeover with a cup of icea tea in the car on the way….and then of course, kate, who is just sitting there doing what she’s supposed to – looking straight at me:)
