part 1 of 3 – miss m’s 3-year shoot

3 days until my miss m’s 3rd birthday so in honor of that, here is part 1 of 3 posts to come over next 3 days. i just have too many to share!

i can’t believe she is all of a sudden such a big girl right before my eyes. she’s hit the stage of officially deciding how she is going to wear her hair each day and she’s established a rotation of just 3 princess graphic tees for all that she’s willing to wear. she’s knows what shoes, bow or purse match and she’ll tell you why. she needs her nails and toenails always painted and she needs to make sure her baby dolls and animals are always tended for.  don’t let her fool you – she may love her some sparkle shoes and nail polish with some Belle on the side, but she’s the gal that with “Where the wild things are” as her favorite book (memorized!) and the gal that came home from disneyworld with bruce the shark from nemo as opposed to a princess barbie.  we could never have known how very fitting *joy* would be for her middle name. she has an uncanny ability to light up a room and she brings so much joy to our life. she is always happy and constantly finds a way to make us laugh. she is remarkably independent, intelligent and opinionated for her age, and i am so proud to call her mine. i love you baby girl!

and just had to include this little gem from when you were 9 months old – one of my favorites with a little poem from sandra magsamen on the side that sums up just how i feel for you! a few nights ago at bedtime you told me you didn’t want to be my big 3 year old girl – that you wanted to always be my baby. i loved that as you placed a deathgrip around my neck, cried and told me to never leave you and stay with you always….a moment i will never forget and always treasure:)
