below is a peek at mr. d and miss m’s new “shared spaces” room! they love all the bright colors, the butterflies/animals, the images of each other up on the walls, which all surround them when they are cozied up in their new bunk beds. we still have a few accents to add (a lamp, their growth chart, some more safari animal items) but i couldn’t wait to share the wild sorbet frames up on the walls. they totally make the room and i’ve already found myself walking down the hall just to stare at my babies this morning while they are at school. oh how they make my heart smile…

above is a 6″-24×24 print and the other 2 below are 6″-11×14 prints.

this is unrelated to photography but i had to share the story behind the rug, one of my favorite accents in the room! inspired by this adorable pottery barn teen find (priced at $300), i made my own version below thanks to some acrylic paint and a chocolate brown walmart rug for $19.97. this was one of my most exciting creations – super easy plus fun to get the kids involved! there was there was noooo way i was going to spend that kind of money for something my kids could easily destroy in their room:)
