i promise i’m alive and yes, i’m still taking pics and working up until end of april! i just can’t believe how fast the time is flying at this point of pregnancy and it’s a constant debate of where to invest my time!! all i know is that my choice to take on a lighter work load leading up to this baby has been the best decision for me. i think i hit a point physically, mentally and creatively coming off the heels of last year where i needed to recharge… and most importantly, i needed that time to invest in my family and make them my priority without the guilt of editing and running a business looming over my head. i do have some exciting events in the works, although a couple have been postponed until after baby. but even if i haven’t been shooting as much, i can tell you my mind has not shut off and i’ve got so many ideas i hope i can crank out and extend/share to you all!!
so here i am at almost 31 weeks as of today, fresh off the heels of a fabulous trip to disneyworld thanks to derek’s family. 8 days of serious walking led to some crazy fun photos i do hope to share. i included my favorite souvenir below – my kids, alone in front of the disney castle – a brief 5 minutes without the spring break crowds i was able to squeeze in before a character breakfast and before the park officially opened!

my to-do lists are overflowing and never-ending as we prepare and since i’ve hit the point where i physically can’t do all that i want to (hate that!). we’ve cleaned and organized, hosted a garage sale, donated items, moved mr. d and miss m into the same room and into bunk beds (which is a project i’ve completely obsessed over) plus we’re gearing up for a wedding that derek and mr. d are in plus mr.d has a birthday party in 1 month…you know, life as usual:) so forgive me blog if you get a little less than the usual share of love and activity in the coming weeks…
here is one peek into the kids’ new room. the wall color is not accurate (although still green) and these adorable wild sorbet frames are now sized a little differently and will actually hang in a different configuration but you can get an idea of some of the colors. while i was a little skeptical at first about d&m sharing a room, i am more than excited now about what this is going to do for their little bond. they love each other soooo much and have the best friendship, and i think this time will be so special and fun, especially as they both transition into life with a new baby at home. now they can experience it all together! and i can’t wait to listen in on all their conversations at night!

Shelby - Love the image at magic kingdom!! I live only 20 minutes away but cannot catch that shot!!! Guess I need to go to character breakfast!!
