and if that wasn’t enough, our kids are in love with a song right now called “chicken fried” by the zac brown band. i’ve listened to it many times but then i really listened to the lyrics, and it was just so perfect for for this pair of jeans and our whole weekend at the ranch…

this image will probably not speak to you the way it does to me but it was just a beautiful moment that caught me off guard. there is no editing that has been done to this photo beyond the bw conversion. she was watching diego (her new boyfriend!) and had all her 13 animals in tow and snuggled up around the both of us in bed. this is miss m fresh out of bed. i left the comfort of snuggling with her to go grab my camera and to preserve this moment where i couldn’t believe how old she looked…and how perfect. i really just want to freeze her in this stage and all that comes with that, esp her little songbird voice that wakes us up everyday singing her favorite songs. i am so in love!!!

and this might be my favorite….

mom has a background in interior design and handpainted the phrase “a brother is a friend given as a gift from god” above his crib along with the brother portraits above mr. w’s changing table. i just loved the sentimental spin behind the decor:) isn’t this precious?!!

and then we ventured outside to have even more fun!!

and one last sweet moment with mama and baby – oh, how i miss these snuggle moments!

“turn ur head just like that, I just want to see your face…..yes, yes, do that, spin around!…oh, you are workin it!” now i gotta be careful what i say – these kids are smart and repeat my silly tantics!!

favorite memories of this event:

• mr. d saying “thank you mommy. that prayer was so sweet!” after our prayer for his new school year. he has never done that before!
• miss m saying “where’s my bubby?” after walking into their preschool and not having mr. d by her side. broke my heart.

here is mr. d getting settled at his new school!! he looks like such a big boy trying to walk with his backpack and hang it up:) only 3 years old but taking part in a special program at a real elementary school!
